Re: Graham in LA ...

I had no idea he was living in LA so I'm a little slow on that one.

God it would be nice to get off this island

Re: Graham talking about modern life is rubbish

Thanks Rich, it made me sad to type it as I feel we have missed out on some great music...Graham and Damon together is magic, maybe its to keep their friendship stress free, but I think we would all love a Blur album where they have spent a few months together in the studio like the 90s albums whic...

Re: Graham talking about modern life is rubbish

I know i've said this numerous times but the jump from modern life is rubbish to parklife just blows my tiny little mind. And to think it was recorded pretty much back to back, I would love some inside knowledge to how that process happened. Yeah it does seem like a fair jump. One thing that may pa...

I've always loved She's Electric because it has a britpop bounce to it.

Re: Most Oasis sounding Blur song?

The start of Movin On always reminded me of Oasis, the backing vocals and distorted vocals. There's a live performance of Bugman in the far east (not sure which country) where Damon goes full on liam gallagher as well. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lxUx3c-WWEI But largerly the music is too clever ...

Re: A Question For The Elders Of The Old Forum

I never recall that particular thread. But did he work in the industry? There's a tonne of stuff that exist online/youtube about the inner workings of large technology companies. Bill Gates openly talked about the Surface tablet/laptop decades before it was released, saying they were creating a tabl...

Re: Blur - The Magic Whip

I think they are very well polished songs but at the same time they don't offer anything new or inspiring. I think the great escape has more replayability but it's still an album I enjoy(ed).

Re: new Gorillaz film - Reject False Icons

pretty simular to the other review, I think I've become accustom to Gorillaz being more about collaboration fronted by Damon Albarn than a cartoon band. The cartoon band could have been bloody brilliant but the 'live' real band is pretty good aswell.
