Re: Superstate by Graham Coxon
Sad how Graham doesn't just release a proper album - maybe he doesn't want to tour small venues, and feels releasing a proper album would mean he'd have to. Soundtracks, mediocre covers band and now a fucking comic?

Re: Question about backing vocals on 'Tender' outro
It is certainly "help me". Based on the sound coming out of Damon's mouth, and also his lip and mouth movements.

Re: Did The Magic Whip give you closure?
in retrospect, the album was very disappointing and i haven't found myself listening to it at all. this wasn't the work of a band jamming together and hungry to create new music together or damon having loads of great songs to work with. it was literally them fucking around in the studio for a week ...

Re: New Graham Coxon message board!
no offense - but what is the point of a graham coxon forum at this point? forums are generally dead (and graham obviously wasn't arsed in keeping the other one) and he is inactive as a solo artist anyway and doesn't appear to have any interest or motivation in releasing music. what is there to talk ...

Nice piece from the Guardian https://www.theguardian.com/music/2017/apr/30/damon-albarn-and-jamie-hewlett-we-fight-over-everything-gorillaz-humanz-interview" onclick="window.open(this.href);return false; Damon with the typical leftie dumb talk about Brexit...leaving the EU does not mean we can't st...

Re: "Invisible" Graham Coxon solo output
Graham's been on a few different labels, it may not be as easy as you think to get everything uploaded onto one channel. everything except the spinning top came out via emi. transcopic was a sublabel, and by the time of happiness in magazines didn't exist - they litereally just put the logo on the ...

Re: INTERVIEW: Dave Rowntree (Parts 1 & 2)
yes, they were supposed to be recording the ep or whatever it was meant to be at that gig - live. others must have the slip that came from fanclub about it. it also mentioned a special guest - who was clearly supposed to be graham. and then the whole thing crumbled and then nothing happened.

Re: Graham recording with Rat Boy
prior to the magic whip, he'd gone very quiet both in terms of releasing music or playing live. touring with blur can't have been that taxing particularly with the ker-ching involved and the fact they simply haven't toured that much - and it's not like he's used up songs with blur. he could have eas...

Re: INTERVIEW: Dave Rowntree (Parts 1 & 2)
the gig was 100% a fan club gig and not open to the general public - via e-mail or letter i can't remember.they were supposed to be recordings the ep live, which goes someone to explaining nothing on the boxset. but then, there must have been demos of some sort.

Re: Graham recording with Rat Boy
isn't this just fucking tragic? rat boy? anyway - why is graham so unproductive? makes me question his motives tbh. the way his solo albums were lo-fi, then when he left blur he suddenly starts making very commercial sounding albums. when the blur reunion money comes in, suddenly there appears to be...

Re: INTERVIEW: Dave Rowntree (Parts 1 & 2)
A punk EP would have worked as a three piece, I will dig out the Blurb for a read as there was a pretty big interview with all 3 members. I still have the apology letter slip thing saying they wanted to concentrate on developing the EP further and that was why the gig was cancelled. As far as I rem...
